Finance company won't let me VT my van

    Hi I hope you can help me with my problem. I have a two-year van on lease (don’t want to say which brand) and want to do a VT. I have paid more than half of total owed but dealer says I can’t do a VT on my finance. Why not I really need to get rid of this van as I can’t afford it anymore Thanks Dave

    Hi Dave. If you have a lease agreement (such as a contract hire or operating lease), then you will not have the right to VT the vehicle. Voluntary termination only applies to purchase agreements like a PCP (personal contract purchase) or HP (hire purchase).
